Question 1

What makes a harness escape-proof?

Accepted Answer

Escape-proof harnesses use multiple attachment points, adjustable straps at neck and chest, and snug-fit design that prevents backing out. Look for double-clip systems and at least 4 adjustment points for maximum security.

Question 2

How do I measure my dog for a harness?

Accepted Answer

Measure the widest part of the chest (behind front legs) and the neck base. Add 2 inches for comfort. Most harnesses have size charts — when between sizes, size up for growing puppies or thick-coated breeds.

Question 3

Are harnesses better than collars?

Accepted Answer

Yes, especially for pullers, small breeds, and dogs with respiratory issues. Harnesses distribute pressure across the chest instead of the throat, reducing tracheal damage risk. Vets recommend harnesses for daily walking.

Question 4

Can escape-proof harnesses be used for training?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Many escape-proof harnesses have front-clip options that redirect pulling behavior. Combine with positive reinforcement training for best results. Our harnesses work for both security and training purposes.
