Athens, the Classic City, blends University of Georgia energy with indie music heritage. Known for the Georgia Bulldogs and R.E.M., neighborhoods like Five Points, Normaltown, and Eastside offer pet-friendly living with costs 5-12% above national average — among the most affordable in Georgia. The city's college town character and UGA veterinary school access make it a pet paradise.
